VARIOUS TYPES OF PIANOS.

When it comes to pianos they vary with different types.This due to their styles,shapes and sizes.They mainly include; The vertical pianos and the horizontal pianos.


           VERTICAL PIANOS.
They are named due to their height and position of the strings.Their height ranges from 36 to 60 inches.There are four types of vertical pianos which include; spinet,console,studio,upright.


          1.Spinet pianos.

They have a height of around 36-38 inches and an approximate width of 58 inches.Its the smallest of all pianos.One noted downside of the spinet piano is called Lost motion; this means ,it has less power and accuracy due to its size and construction.








   
                   
           2.Censole pianos.

They are slightly larger.Their height ranges from 40-43 inches and an approximate 58 inches wide.This type of piano comes in various  styles and finishes.It is made with a direct action,thus producing more enhanced tones.


            3.Studio pianos.

They are mostly found in music schools and music studios.Studio pianos are around 45 to 48 inches in height and has a width of approximately 58 inches.Because of its larger sound board and longer strings,they produce good tone quality and they are durable.

                     4.Upright pianos.

It is the tallest among all the vertical pianos.Their height range from 50 to 60 inches and have an approximate width of 58 inches.They have a rich history and if cared for properly.They stand the test of time and maintains its rich tones.

               THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF GUITARS.

Just like there are different kinds of music guitars also are different depending with their functions and how they are made.For instance the number of strings,location of the sound hole etc.There are about 12 different kinds of guitars which are:

       1.Acoustic guitars.

CLASSICAL ACOUSTIC GUITAR

There are two kinds of acoustic guitars the: Steel-string/flat top acoustic guitars and the classical acoustic guitars.These kinds of guitars have a wide neck and they utilize nylon strings.They are also similar in that one can use a plectrum or finger style to play them.

They have hallow body and produce a deep tone and they are prefered for chordal rhythmatic strumming.

Most of us know this kind of guitar mostly because it is used to play rock songs,blues,jazz and pop music.It is plugged into an amplifier so as to produce a loud voice.When it is amplified it produces a metallic sound with a long delay.They have thinner strings compaired to acoustic guitars.

         3.Twelve-strings guitars.

Just like the name these kinds of guitars have 12 strings.They have the usual six and another set of six thinner ones.Every string of the second set matches the note of its standard string counter Part.They create pairs and are played in a simillar way as the usual six-string.It is essential for chord progressions that need thickening.

        4.Archtop guitars.

They are semi-hollow steel acoustic/electric guitars.Acoustic and electric archtops have a similar design but differ due to addition of electro-magnetic hpickups and pots.They are available in full bodied and thinline.The archtop guitars mostly used to play jazz music.

        5.Steel guitars.

LAP STEEL GUITAR

They originated from Hawii.It's placed horizontally crossways on the players knees hence very different from other guitars.There are two kinds: Pedals and lap steel guitar.The pedals steel has a similar mechanical tactic with the harp.One uses pedals and knees levers to change the pitch of each string while playing hence providing the player with the entired chromatic scale.The  lap-steel is playrd using a solid bar  of steel and lay the neck horizontally.

Elani Live in Concert at Impala grounds. This is how it went down. Did you know that Bahati can dance like this?

Elani Music live performance #ShareTheLove gig went down this weekend at the Impala grounds along Ngong road.  

 The event was graced with glamour and style from all manner of people and celebrities. The attendees were nothing short of smooooking hot.

It all begun at 1.pm as the crowds started streaming in one by one. The love bug had struck, and the couples kept on tacking themselves next to the fence. Elani muzik is known for ballads and some nice love songs that rocked our air waves earlier this year. The famous Kookoo, Milele and Barua ya Dunia singers have flawless voices. One can seat a whole day listening to Elani music.   

This must have been a perfect dating ground. The flow was too slow, that the event organizers were filled with apprehension. Anxiety kept on rising.  It was not until 6.pm that the real Kenyans started flowing in to the event. #SharetheLove Concert

The DJ was on stage with the decks steaming, and within no time the grounds were full. At the sunset, the grounds were packed. The VIP section was almost full.  The food and drinks were plenty. As usual the young lads had lost it by 7.00pm. One wonders why they came in the first place. #Blackout

The most visible DJ was DJ Crème who turned the tables upside down with the crowds gushing their vocal chords out.   In attendance was DJ Pinye, DJ Joe Mfalme, Producer Jaymo- Hatchery Records, Sauti sol among others.

The MC of the day was Ms AdelleO dressed to kill. The curtain raisers were Bahati, H_ART the Band and ofcos the Lingala ya yesu fame – Pitson who performed along Elani.

Did you know that Bahati can dance….ooooh my! See the photos. His heart is out am sure! He performed Barua among many others. Elani performed their Barua ya Dunia also.

The event was a booming success! This set a standard in the events and concert sectors in Kenya. I wonder why so many media and other celebrities did not turn out in numbers.

 H_ART the Band - The Ask my shoe (Uliza Kiatu) fame were also at the house. This time they showed love. They had a stunning performance as the crowds recited the lyrics along!

Talk of talent....these guys have a talent. The rhymes were just flowing. Esp..."Na katheri ninavyo katafuna, ili ukule burger, Uliza kiatu" lolest the men sang their hearts out!
